We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. All first appointments are an hour long (so please plan accordingly and come 10 minutes early to fill out forms). During your first visit, Dr. Vera will review your dental and medical history and listen to your main dental concerns. For diagnosis, she will examine your teeth, gums, jaw, joints and muscles (that make the jaw move) and take X-rays of your teeth and jaw. From there, Dr. Vera will explain in detail what she has found during her examination, address your concerns, and help you choose options for treatment. We typically proceed with cleaning the same day as the first exam if time allows. If exam, diagnosis, treatment planning and discussion go over an hour, the cleaning will be rescheduled for a time time that is most convenient for you.
